One Step Ranch Family and Cuddle Buddies
We are a family-owned Ranch, the last of our kin to hold and cultivate a parcel of the same land our ancestors purchased in the 1800s. For over a century, this land has sustained us, nourishing us with its bounty of crops and cattle. Now, as the fifth generation, we carry forward the torch of our family's legacy.
This land is more than just soil and pasture; it is a living testament to the resilience and determination of our family. And it is our privilege and responsibility to ensure that its story continues to be told for generations to come.
Our mission is clear: to honor our forebears by preserving their heritage, educating others on the rich history of our Ranch and the surrounding land. But our vision extends beyond preservation; we aim to breathe new life into these acres, to restore the Ranch to its former glory.
Meet Snow White, a delightful member of our herd lovingly named for her pristine white coat at birth. Born in November 2023, Snow is one of the last calves to join our ranch that year. Despite her initial shyness, she possesses a spirited personality that shines through.
Snow's favorite indulgences include sweet treats, belly rubs, and grazing on fresh green grass. Currently undergoing training to become one of our esteemed Cuddle Buddies, Snow is eagerly preparing to charm visitors with her endearing nature and gentle demeanor.

Introducing Boots, a charming addition to our ranch known for her distinctive markings—her dark brown coat contrasted by white hooves, hence her fitting name. Born in October 2023, Boots holds the title of our smallest cow, yet she possesses a heart brimming with sweetness and curiosity.
Eager to make new friends, Boots is quick to follow anyone bearing treats or affection, showcasing her playful and sociable nature. While she may be young, Boots is currently undergoing training to join our esteemed ranks as a Cuddle Buddy, where she'll undoubtedly capture the hearts of all who meet her.

Starting out as family rivals, it took us a few years to finally become friends, but once we did, we became inseparable. Despite living in separate states throughout our 20s, our connection persisted through sporadic interactions on Facebook. Then, in 2022, fate brought us both to Texas. We took the opportunity to reconnect, and it was clear that "forever" was our answer.
Now, united in our love and commitment, we're eager to embark on this new chapter together. We're determined to continue the legacy of our family, but with our own unique twist. With shared dreams and aspirations, we're ready to carve out our path while honoring the traditions that bind us. Together, we'll write the next chapter of our family's story, infused with love, unity, and a dash of our personal flair.
